Telling Your Story...Defining Your Praxis
Praxis is informed action, not action (for our purposes creating a poem, song, play, etc) for the sake of action, but action that is informed by reflection, theory and purpose. In this workshop, participants will:
* Learn about Hip Hop culture, craft and community.
* Work together to devise a collaborative performance piece that utilizes spoken word and rap, and
* Explore the notion of artistic praxis.
Come through if you'd like to have a serious conversation about why you do what you do and if you'd like to rock the cipher! Yes, that means freestyling may happen, so please only join if you're ready to put yourself out there!
