Headlines Into Punchlines

In this workshop we will look at some of the most talked about news stories of the last 12 months and learn how to present them in unique and hilarious way through sketches and songs.

Presented by

Tom D’Angora is a multi award winning Producer and Director who currently has four productions running Off Broadway: NEWSical The Musical, Naked Boys Singing, The Marvelous Wonderettes, and Addy & Uno.  NEWSical has played over 3,000 performances at Theatre Row and was the first musical ever to receive the Off-Broadway Alliance award for Best Musical. NEWSical is 3rd longest running revue and 5th longest running Off-Broadway musical in history. Tom’s proudest achievements are his positions with the Hillary Clinton 2008 and 2016 campaigns.

​Billy Recce is a MAC and NEO-Award winning composer/lyricist/performer and playwright based in NY. His works include A Musical About Star Wars (Off-Broadway), Balloon Boy (NYMF), and his sold out Snowflake Songbook series (54 Below). His debut album is on iTunes. Proud member of ASCAP and graduate of Fordham University.
