Is Speech Really Free?
*Accessible for Spanish speakers. Live interpretation available.
Language shapes how we see ourselves, relate to others, and work toward—or against—social justice. In this workshop, participants will explore the impact of verbal and non-verbal, positive and negative language through reflection, discussion, and creative movement. Using tools like a Venn diagram and a “word tree,” students will embody language through choreography concepts such as movement sentences and phrases, building greater self-awareness of its power to divide or unite.
