​Headlines Into Punchlines: The Musical!

In this workshop, we will look at some of the most talked-about news stories from the past 12 months and learn how to present them through the art of musical comedy songwriting.

Presented by...

Billy Recce is a New York City based, Billboard-charting composer/lyricist. One of the most prolific musical theatre writers of his generation, his musicals have run for over 1,000 performances in NYC and have been produced internationally. His projects include the Heidi Fleiss bio-musical Little Black Book, Fowl Play (Off-Broadway), FIVE: The Parody Musical (Off-Broadway), A Musical About Star Wars (Off-Broadway). His TV songwriting credits include RuPaul’s Drag Race and Canada’s Drag Race All Stars. Licensed titles include Concord/Broadway Licensing’s The Big Twist: A Musical OzVenture (Music), and 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse: The Musical (Music and Lyrics). www.billyrecce.com
